I also dont know how i supposedly know this stuff about Uncanny X-Men that I have never read.

All those Ultimate things i talk about i have since been caught up on and read. Most was OK we have an upcoming ramble fest on all of Ultimate stuff though.

Joe Mad – Battle Chasers, Ultimates 3

Fun Home is the greatest comic book ever!

Turns out that Iron Man, artist is who designed the whole Iron Man movie which actually looks great.

The whole Batman: Begins argument starts here. I cant even fathom his arguments.

They actuallya re making an Ant Man movie!

actually power pack looks ok

This week: Steven tells us the story behind Quimby’s, describes the Boson zine scene back in the ‘80s, and rails against record companies (while throwing in a shameless plug for the new Boom show.)

In this episode Karl and I discuss the hazards or creating shitty web comics. We also have our first moment of true drama as the afterglow fades and we have our first argument. It’s an episode that’s both poignant and pragmatic, pretentious yet precocious. I suppose you could say it’s a perilously palpable pulp product.

Margaret Atwood and Karen Armstrong examine the lasting power and cultural importance of myths. Karen Armstrongs latest book is A Short of History of Myth. Margaret Atwoods new book, The Penelopiad, retells the story of the Odyssey from the point of view of Penelope and the twelve hanged maids.

Only a few days later than planned, but here’s the third episode, coming out on new comics day, so that is a little appropriate.

A slight retraction on House of M, but a little more bitching as well.

Some praise for the House of M artist, Olivier Coipel. And yes, there is a goof where I say I complained a lot about the art, and I meant complaining about the writing. And a very subtle bashing of another so-called artist.

A mini review and comments about the independent comicbook, Dracula vs. King Arthur. Yes, you read that right.

A quick mention of all the comic creators helping out with Katrina relief. Newsarama has a rundown of stuff over here.

My opinion on rumours. You’re better off checking out Lying in the Gutters.

A long ramble on Chris Claremont, and why I enjoy his work, and going against some of the points some folks don’t like about it.

Download Grey Matters – Episode 3!
Enjoy!

Holy Crap! That crazy gizmo really woiks! So I was thinking- man, I really have to get off my ass to make a dang podcast- but I’m a very lazy primate, as you all know. So I’m here at my girlfriend’s place and I figured- why not use the Blogger audioblog service? Sure, it’s not going to yield a glitzy, production quality ‘cast, but at least it’s something, right? Well, it was down for repairs…Oy Vey. So, remembering another option, I signed up for a 7 day free trial membership at http://www.audioblog.com>. I used the phone option (moblogging, I believe it’s called)and recorded the podcast below. Now one word of warning- the audio quality due to poor mic quality of the phone- is low. not too bad- just way too low. So you’ll have to crank the audio on yer compooper. Other than that- it did the job of breaking my non-podcasting inertia! YAY FLAMEAPE !! You can either play the audio via the teeny audio player below or click the mp3 link.
