HIM
HIM recorded their new album, Dark Light, in Los Angeles, a long way from their home country of Finland, where it’s dark all the time and reindeer are eaten for breakfast. Once HIM got to the city that never weeps, the band locked itself in a castle on a hill, with wild dogs running through the yard, and spent long weeks working on their new material. The band is so dedicated that they only came out for the occasional three straight days of partying, a few relaxing afternoons by the pool, and to talk to our reporter about everything under the dark, moody, unforgiving sun. Listen as band members imitate storks, talk about getting xxxl-sized bras thrown at them, and-we won’t try to deny it-answer questions about their music with thoughtfulness, honesty and insight. Crazy Finnish bastards.
